Finished Thriller Opening

Here is our final, finished thriller opening we have produced which all our planning and research had gone into. We have both worked extremely hard on putting ideas, time and effort into this. I hope you enjoy it!

       

Guidelines on Working with Children

This is the website we used to read about the guidelines on working with children. This is because our film contains a main character of a child under the age of 18, she is 4 years old. As we know she is going to be starring in our film, we have read through Channel 4's guideline for working with children and got her parental consent beforehand. She was not approached on the street and asked to be in the film, she is Chloe's sister therefore we got Chloe's Dad's permission for her to be involved in our film along with explaining the narrative of the film and how we are going to film it. We also got them to fill in and sign a release form for her which you can find further down my blog. 

Whilst filming, we will set up the scene very clearly and ensure no distress or alarm will be caused to her. As she is Chloe's little sister, she already knows us very well and knows we could never cause her any harm. We will make it seem like we are playing with her, which could possibly look better for the film as she will look happy playing without thinking anything else to it. On our film we are planning to have no dialogue and are going to add music over the top of it, we will talk to her all the way through and playing with her just as we normally would. 

As our film will imply content which may be upsetting to anyone at a young age, we will ensure she does not see the film until she is atlas 13 or over. She will also know how we filmed it and that she just thought it was a game. Once our film has been finished and editing completely, we will show our final cut to her parents and obtain their final consent for the footage we got to be used.
